As part of CareMed’s comprehensive approach to personalized patient service, a care team of reimbursement specialists are trained in securing coverage for complex drug management therapies; ensuring that all claims are guided, completed, and filed in a timely manner for eligible patients.

CareMed has the capability to bill insurance providers electronically. CareMed accepts 98% of insurance providers, including Medicare and Medicaid. The Medicare Part D program is still in its infancy, therefore confusion still exists among health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, pharmacies, providers, and beneficiaries regarding which outpatient drugs are covered under Part D and which are covered under Part B. CareMed reimbursement specialists will assist through this process and streamline the claim process to ensure prompt reimbursement for the specialty products provided.

- Verify participant’s benefits and obtains prior authorization if indicated.
- Determine billing channels.
- Coordination of Benefits.
- Help ensure claims submitted are paid accurately and consistently.
- Provide access to Patient Assistance Programs (PAP) to assist uninsured or under-insured members.
